Weekly Meetings Mondays 3-4 pm EST/12-1pm PST

Class minimum:  There must be a minimum of 4 students registered for the class to run.

Take your sewing skills to the next level by sewing a shirt that you are proud to wear!  In this 5-week course, you will learn how to construct a classic, button-front shirt while learning how to:

  • Sew darts
  • Gather, pleat & tuck
  • Finish seams
  • Sew a yoke, front band, collar & cuffs
  • Set-in a sleeve
  • Sew buttonholes & buttons
  • Hem

Students will select their shirt pattern based on class requirements.  You will meet with Tammie and other class participants live each week for 1 hour to get your questions answered, see a preview of the next week, and learn tips for success.  Each weekly session will be recorded in case you are not able to attend or want to review what was covered.  Then, you will follow along with Tammie’s weekly prerecorded lessons.  Love to sew first thing in the morning?  Great!  Love to sew in the middle of the night?  Great!  You can follow along at your own pace at a time convenient for you. Please note: This is a sewing class, not a pattern-fitting class.  If you would like to learn to tissue-fit, please consider registering for the online Palmer/Pletsch Fit the Upper Body 2-Day Workshop, taught by Tammie August 16-17.  Click here for more details.
