Sleeve Embellishments (optional)
Before you sew your sleeves to your hoodie, you will need to make a decision if you would like to add trim along your sleeves or elbow patches. It will be very difficult to put the embellishments on after the sleeves are sewn to the hoodie. Explore your options and learn how in the presentation and videos below.
Elbow Patches
Other optional creative ideas:
- Add trim to the pockets
- Add ears to the hood
- Hand or machine embroider the front, sleeves or back
- Weave fabric together for the back
- Layer your knit fabrics, stitch and cut
- Dye your fabric
- Change your sleeve length
If you are going to embroider the sleeves, front or back, this is the time to do it. It is also the time to consider any other embellishments you would like to add. It is easiest to do the embellishments while all of the pieces are flat.
